Who we are

FinInteract is a financial tools company based in Nairobi, Kenya. We operate the FinInteract platform at fininteract.com, including the Financial Goal Planner, Compound Calculator, and any tools we release in future. References to "we", "our", or "us" mean FinInteract.

What we collect

When you create an account or use our tools, we may collect:

• ·Name and email address — required to create and authenticate your account.
• ·Financial goals and contribution data — the information you choose to enter into the Goal Planner.
• ·Calculator inputs — only stored if you request a PDF report (in which case we also store your email address).
• ·Usage data — anonymised information about how our tools are used, to improve them.
• ·Device and browser type — for compatibility and support purposes.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• ·Provide, maintain, and improve the FinInteract tools.
• ·Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• ·Send account notifications — verification emails, password resets, and similar.
• ·Send you calculator reports you have explicitly requested.
• ·Respond to support requests and enquiries.

We do not use your financial data to advertise to you, and we do not share it with third-party advertisers.

Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share it only with:

• ·Infrastructure providers that host and operate our platform (under strict data processing agreements).
• ·Email delivery services, solely to send the emails you have requested.
• ·Law enforcement or regulators, if required by law.

Data security

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Data at rest is stored in encrypted databases with access controls. We carry out regular security reviews. No system is completely immune to breach — we will notify you promptly if your data is ever compromised.

How long we keep your data

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, personal information is removed within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it for longer (for example, certain financial records).

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ·Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
• ·Correct inaccurate information.
• ·Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• ·Object to or restrict certain types of processing.

Children

FinInteract tools are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of FinInteract after a policy update means you accept the revised terms.
